Become a local coordinator

Being a local coordinator

As an International Exchange Coordinator (IEC) with EF Foundation for Foreign Study, you touch a lot of lives. You give your neighbors a chance to share New Zealand with international students. You provide exchange students with the opportunity to live their dreams—something that many have planned for their entire lives. And you enhance the educations of New Zealand high school students, who get to learn about other countries directly from people who live there.

Think Globally, Serve Locally

You know your community better than we ever could. That’s why we count on you to represent EF Foundation locally. You’ll connect talented students and enthusiastic families who could never meet without your help.

In doing so, you’ll gain the power to change lives around the world by serving your country right at home. With international understanding needed more than ever, helping to build personal connections between New Zealand and other countries is very important work!

A Vital Link

Students rely on you for everything from advice on local customs to recommendations on dealing with homesickness. Because of the care you show them upon their arrival, they’ll be eager to share their joys with you as well. The memories you help them create will last a lifetime. You will forever be a part of one of the best years of their young lives!

EF Foundation & You

Since high school student exchange would never happen in your community without your hard work, EF Foundation gives you the tools to succeed. We provide extensive training on the local and national levels, as well as guidance from a Regional Coordinator and 24/7 support from our national headquarters.
