    Become a local coordinator

    How to become a coordinator

In just three easy steps, you can share New Zealand with international students from around the world. Here’s how:

    Step 1. Apply

Pre-apply online or call 0800-44-55-11 to request an application and receive more information. Our Regional Managers can provide detailed answers to any questions you may have. They’ll also put you in touch with the Regional Coordinator for your area.

You’ll need to submit an application, references, and background check form. You can do so easily, by faxing, emailing or mailing them to the Auckland office.

    Step 2. Receive Confirmation

While the Auckland office contacts your references, your Regional Coordinator will arrange an in-home interview during a time convenient for you. Upon your acceptance as an IEC, you will receive a call from the Auckland office welcoming you to the EF Foundation family.

    Step 3. Attend Training

Now the fun begins! You will receive the comprehensive IEC Training Manual and local-level training from your Regional Coordinator. Soon after, you’ll get information about EF Foundation’s next national IEC training. You will get to meet and share ideas with our national staff, as well as fellow IECs from across the country.

You’ll be fully prepared to run an exchange program in your community in no time. And don’t forget—EF Foundation’s support doesn’t end after training. Your Regional Coordinators and Auckland staff will be there for you 365 days a year!
